BACKGROUND

The Green Pastures Tabernacle Church (GPTC) is registered under the societies act of Kenya. Founded on the 30th of June 1998 at Eureka High Rise Hotel, Tom Mboya Street, Nairobi, the Church grew in leased facilities in South B shopping Centre, afterwards in Dar es Salaam and Baricho roads in the Industrial area and subsequently moving to Ngong Road.

Thereafter, the Church relocated to a 10-acre prime property at Mutuini-Dagorretti near Lenana School in 2012. Additionally, the church has 7 other branch churches namely Ngong Road, City Centre, Buru Buru, Thika Road, Rongai, Syokimau and Mombasa.

Most noteworthy, the church owns Emerald International School which administers both the ACE and the IGCSE curricula

Our desire is to have a ministry that creates an environment for life changing transformation. We endeavour to raise a generation of people who are Godly, earthly relevant and heavenly focused.

MEMBERSHIP

Church membership is a formal and personal commitment to an identifiable, local body of believers who have joined together for specific, divinely ordained purposes.

These purposes include:

  1. Receiving instruction from God’s Word (1 Tim. 4:13).
  2. Serving and edifying one another through the proper use of spiritual gifts (1 Pet. 4:10) and material resources (Acts 2:44-45).
  3. Participating in Church Ordinances (Acts 2:42).
  4. Proclaiming the Gospel to those who are lost (Matt. 28:18- 20).
  5. Willingly submitting themselves under the care and the authority of the biblically qualified elders that God has placed in that assembly (Heb. 13:17, 1 Pet. 5:1-3).
